The Burgundy Rubber Plant (Ficus elastica 'Burgundy') is a popular indoor plant known for its deep burgundy-colored leaves and easy-care nature. Here’s a comprehensive guide to help you care for it:

Light Requirements
- Ideal: Bright, indirect light.
- Tolerable: Can adapt to lower light conditions, but the foliage may lose its rich color.
- Avoid: Direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Watering
- Frequency: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry.
- Method: Water thoroughly until water drains from the bottom of the pot, then let the soil dry out before watering again.
- Avoid: Overwatering, as it can lead to root rot. Always ensure the pot has drainage holes.

Humidity
- Ideal: Prefers moderate humidity but can tolerate normal household humidity levels.
- Tip: During dry seasons or in air-conditioned environments, mist the plant occasionally or use a humidifier.

Temperature
- Ideal range: 60-75°F (16-24°C).
- Avoid: Cold drafts, temperatures below 55°F (13°C), and rapid temperature changes.

Soil
- Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend designed for indoor plants or succulents.
- Ensure the soil retains some moisture but drains excess water easily.

 Fertilizing
- Frequency: Feed every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Type: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength.
- Avoid: Fertilizing in fall and winter when the plant's growth slows.

Pruning
- Prune to maintain the plant’s shape and remove dead or yellowing leaves.
- Pruning also encourages bushier growth. Cut just above a leaf node.

Repotting
-When: Every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound.
-How: Choose a pot that’s one size larger and refresh the soil.

Pests and Problems
-Pests: Keep an eye out for common pests like spider mites, mealybugs, and scale. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil to treat infestations.
-Leaf Drop: Overwatering or sudden changes in light can cause leaves to drop. Adjust care routines to fix this.

Toxicity
- The Burgundy Rubber Plant is toxic to pets if ingested, so keep it out of reach of cats, dogs, and children.

 Cleaning
- Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth periodically to remove dust and allow the plant to breathe better and absorb light efficiently.
